EFI is looking for a new Director

During Risto Päivinen's leadership EFI has grown five-fold and has changed from a Finnish association to an international organization. Currently the Institute has app. 150 staff members and an annual turnover of app. 12 million Euros.

“EFI has assumed a prominent position in European forest research and policy support. EFI can mobilize scientific capacities in European countries to serve policy making, implementing the well-adopted concept of the policy-science interface. From the new Director we expect wide knowledge of pan-European forest networks and issues as well as strong leadership” states Chairman of the EFI Board Dr. Jørgen Bo Larsen.

The call for a new Director is open here. The deadline for applying is 31 July 2014. EFI’s Board will elect the new Director during the fall.
