Outcomes of the Barcelona BioEconomy Forum

The first edition of the global forum focused on bioeconomy attracted more than 100 decision-makers, scientific experts and sector leaders in the majestic Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site in Barcelona on 27–29 November. Josep M. Pelegrí, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Food & the Environment of the Government of Catalonia (middle in the photo), opened the Barcelona BioEconomy Forum with the message that the sustainable management of forests is “crucial for the transition to a new bioeconomy”.

Sustainable forest management – research capacities and priorities

An international EU-Russia workshop took place on 19 November 2014 in Kazan, Russia within the framework of the EU-Russia Year of Science 2014. The workshop was held as an official side event of the 72nd session of the UNECE Committee on Forests and the Forest Industry (COFFI).

MOUNTFOR - book of abstracts now available
