EFI welcomes Member Organisations contributions in response to the Commission Green Paper

The EU public consultation on the Commission Green Paper “Forest Protection and Information in the EU: Preparing forests for climate change” is running from 1 March to 31 July 2010. In this consultation, the Commission invites Member States’, organisations’ and citizens’ feedback to questions how climate change is modifying forest management and protection in Europe, and how EU policy should evolve to enhance its contribution to Member State initiatives.

EFI has compiled a concept note on the Green Paper, with the aim to motivate the EFI Associate Members to participate in the consultation. We also invite the Member Organisations to contribute in finalising the EFI response.
