Now published! Innovation in Forestry: Territorial and Value Chain Relationships

The Final Publication of COST Action E51 has now been released. This publication makes a notable impact on the study of innovation in forestry and the forest-based industries. It presents the first comprehensive overview and assessment of the relevant research approaches for the study of innovation processes and policies in the forest sector and their application in the most relevant and current innovation fields in Europe.

Join the collaborative development of a Forest Governance Research Agenda!

In developing a Forest Governance Research Agenda, the aim is to give the research agenda a strong basis through wide stakeholder consultation. By doing so we hope that the research community, the governance practitioners and the research donors will take ownership of the agenda. Once ready, the agenda will assist donors of scientific research (e.g. European and national research funding and development agencies) to decide where to set forest governance research priorities.

A Succesful Second Mediterranean Forest Week

On April 5-8, the medieval city of Avignon hosted the successful Second Mediterranean Forest Week. 244 participants from all over the Mediterranean met in the magnificent Pope’s palace facilities and discuss about the strategic topics on our forests, emerging challenges as well as joint actions to address relevant forestry issues. In addition, policy relevant questions regarding other relevant sectors and policies where forests and forestry could play an important role where presented and discussed.
