The FORESTERRA Management Committee met in Paris, France, on 6-7 May 2013. The objective of the meeting was to review progress in the various Work Packages and to discuss future plans.
Florence Jacquet, from INRA, France, was invited to present the experience from another ERA-net and described the ARIMNET call for proposals. This call had a common pot of €6.46M, with 10 projects being selected for funding. The average budget for each project was €600,000.
During the first day of the meeting, Work Package leaders presented their progress and future plans. The FORESTERRA Strategic Scientific Plan was presented, including the four strategic research themes, and the possible options for joint activities. A new version of the FORESTERRA website was launched, including the WP2 database, dissemination documents and the intranet.
A very active general discussion about the FORESTERRA common call took place during the second day. The call is expected to be launched by the end of 2013.
