EFIMED PhD Award
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The selection of the best PhD on Mediterranean forestry is structured in three steps.
STEP 1. Pre-selection of candidates: candidates should send to EFIMED Secretariat email efimed@efi.int by October 31st 2009 the EFIMED PhD Award form (available online) dully filled.
STEP 2. Pre-selected candidates will be contacted by EFIMED Secretariat and requested for an electronic copy of the following documentation:
a. A certified photocopy of the PhD title. In case it is on its way to be officially printed, the applicant should send a certified copy of the official certification by the Higher Education Institution of the approval of the PhD.
b. Official document with:
i. the date of defense of the thesis,
ii. composition of the panel of judges or data of the opponent and
iii. note given by the opponent/tribunal/panel of judges to the thesis.
c. Passport copy with personal data
d. PDF copy of the thesis, including:
i. Extended executive summary in English (20-50 pages)
ii. Articles produced (at least one should have been accepted by the time of the application). The drafted articles will be used by EFIMED Secretariat and AG internally and confidentially, for the unique purpose of the evaluation of the PhD Award candidate.
STEP 3. Final Selection. Selected candidate will be requested to send the original documents for final checking.
