How to participate?

EFIMED holds this year its Annual Meeting (also called "Business meeting") and Scientific Seminar within the framework of EFI Annual Conference week activities.

EFIMED has invited its Network members to participate in EFIMED Annual Meeting (EFIMED AM). They have also the chance to attend EFI Annual Conference (EFI AC) and the jointly organised Scientific Seminar on "Adaptation of Forest Landscape to Environmental Changes".

As EFIMED is the first established Regional Office of EFI, our example can rise the interest of other European participants. Therefore, EFIMED has opened its Annual Meeting to all interested people.

We are looking forward to receive your registration!!!

We strongly recommend you to proceed with the registration as soon as possible, as the meeting is held in a very touristic city during a very touristic season.

FEES and PAYMENTS:

EFIMED AM has no registration fee. It is an open event to all interested people.

The Field trip is optional and has in any case a cost of 70 EUR.

Representatives of EFI Associate and Affiliate Members (see here the list) and EFIMED fellows have a free registration period until June 13th 2008. This registration does include:
- EFIMED AM;
- EFI Annual Conference; and
- Scientific Seminar.

Registrations made from June 14 to August 15:
- if you are attending just EFIMED AM it has no fee.
- if you are attending EFIMED AM and other activities the fees are 150 EUR and it includes: EFI AC, Scientific Seminar and the Conference Dinner.

Registrations made from August 16 onwards:

- if you are attending just EFIMED AM it has no fee.
- if you are attending EFIMED AM and other activities the fees are 200 EUR and it includes: EFI AC, Scientific Seminar and the Conference Dinner.

CANCELLATION PROCEDURE

Please note that your registration might cause some costs to the organisers of the Conference week.
Therefore, any costs caused by a cancellation after June 13th and unpaid fees will be invoiced after the event.


EFIMED Financial support

EFIMED supports the active participation of representatives of Mediterranean non-EU members by covering the accommodation during the Conference activities. This applies to whom does participate in EFIMED AM. With "accommodation" is understood the overnighting in a single room in a pre-agreed lodge. EFIMED Secretariat will take care of the reservation, for which we kindly request you to confirm your arrival and departure dates by August 1st to Ms. Elena Gorriz (firstname.lastname@efi.int). After this deadline we cannot ensure that there are available rooms.

Kindly note that EFIMED is not in the position of covering any other cost.

Membership and participation in EFI Annual Conference:

EFI Annual Conference is a central decision-making body in the EFI organisation.
It is open for the representatives from the EFI member organisations and to invited observers.
To enquire the possibilities for receiving the observer status, please contact Ms. Henna Snellman, the Membership Liaison Officer or Ms. Brita Pajari, the Conference Manager. Emails firstname.lastname@efi.int.

The Associate Members of EFI meet at these Conferences and approve matters such as budgets, work plans, and make decisions on the future plans and activities of EFI. The Affiliate Members may also participate in the Annual Conferences.

- EFIMED Members which are also EFI Associate Members may have voting right. Confirmation will be sent to each registered participant.
- Up to 30 EFIMED Members which are neither EFI Associate nor Affiliate Members will hold the status of observers without voting right. The observer status is checked at the registration and it is confirmed in the official registration confirmation to be sent to each participant
