Foundations in Finland:

The Ella and Georg Ehrnrooth Foundation promote scientific research and literary activity in Finland. The foundation carries out this purpose by granting awards and stipends to scientists and persons active in the literary field, as well as to scientific institutions and establishments. Fortum Foundation's purpose is to support research, education and development in natural, technical and economical sciences within the energy industry. Metsämiesten Säätiö Foundation (in Finnish) supports and develops people working in the field of forestry and funds research, forest culture, education, communications and wellbeing.

Marjatta and Eino Kolli Foundation (in Finnish) supports forestry and agriculture and construction-related research and development especially projects aiming to positive long term effects on our habitat.

Oskar Öflund’s foundation supports Finnish research and culture e.g. in bio and environmental sciences. Oskar Öflund Foundation (Finnish & Swedish)

Finnish Forest Foundation funds projects which promote forest-related business activities and spreads information about the sustainable utilization of forests.

Finnish Cultural Foundation is a private trust dedicated to promoting art, science, and other fields of intellectual and cultural endeavour in Finland. The Foundation provides grants from a central fund and 17 regional funds.

Finnish Society of Forest Science (SMS, Suomen Metsätieteellinen Seura) awards grants to promote forest science in Finland. Grants of the SMS are awarded for research, travel, other international activities, language studies, and other activities within the scope of the society. In addition, the Metsämiesten Säätiö Foundation has assigned the distribution of its IUFRO grants to the Finnish Society of Forest Science. IUFRO grants are awarded for participating in IUFRO activities and for organizing IUFRO activities in Finland.
