A joint research project of scientists at the European Forest Institute (EFI) and the Finnish Forest Research Institute (Metla). This project, scheduled from May 2001 to May 2004, was a part of the Research Programme on Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (SUNARE) coordinated by the Academy of Finland.
