PLURIFOR logo

The aim of PLURIFOR is to help with the development of regional and transnational risk management plans for forest area susceptible to biotic and abiotic hazards. The project focuses on the risks posed by storms, fire, soil degradation, pinewood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus), chestnut gall wasp (Dryocosmus kuriphilus), Eucalyptus weevil (Gonipterus scutellatus), Fusarium circinatum , and emerging pests and pathogens.

The Planted Forest Facility provides the guidance and direction for the project, having previously coordinated the Interreg Sudoe IV project FORRISK on forest risk management.
