Despite the uncertain times we are living through due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the EFIMED network is in full swing. In this March’s edition of EFI Mediterranean Network News we report on the launch event of the EFI Bioregions Facility in Bilbao, Spain. This new facility seeks to put bioeconomy at the centre of the regions’ political agenda and build a more sustainable future for Europe.

In this edition we also talk about the future and more immediate effects that COVID19 pandemic can have on our forests, economy and our way of interacting as social individuals. Moreover, this issue also includes other interesting news in the field of social innovation, forest health, resilience to climate change and, finally, interesting suggestions for virtual courses and webinars to enjoy at home.

As ever, this edition includes calls, upcoming events and publications from all over the Mediterranean, as well as items of interest from elsewhere.
