The project aimed to evaluate and review the measures related to the afforestation of the agricultural lands in the Mediterranean countries.
SylvaMED was an international project under the MED Programme of the European Commission, coordinated by the Forest Sciences Center of Catalonia (CTFC) and involving six partners from different Mediterranean countries: Slovenia, Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and Languedoc-Roussillon (France), Reggio Liguria (Italy), Crete (Greece), Catalonia (Spain).
FORESTERRA - Enhancing Forest Research in the Mediterranean through Improved Coordination and Integration
FORESTERRA was an ERA-NET Scheme which is financed by the European Commission under its Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). FORESTERRA reinforced the scientific coordination and integration of Mediterranean programmes in forest research, enhanced scientific cooperation in the EU and non-EU member countries of the Mediterranean area and with countries from other Mediterranean Climate Areas (Australia, South Africa, Chile, California). FORESTERRA was coordinated by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain.
