Andreas Schuck holds a master’s degree in Forest Management from the Albert-Ludwigs-University (Freiburg, Germany). Working at the European Forest Institute since 1997, he has been coordinating and developing both national and European funded projects on forest information systems, forest management, forest biodiversity and forest disturbances. Andreas is active in the science – practice interface, engaging with practitioners in the field and has skills in conducting field training events for a variety of stakeholder groups including schools. He has contributed to making the Forest Risk Facility established under FOREST EUROPE a reality and has been instrumental in setting up the Integrate Network Multi-Donor-Trust-Fund in which he is strongly engaged, especially in building and coordinating the European-wide network of forest demonstration sites. Andreas enjoys the exchange with a wide range of actors in particular with forest practitioners.
