SUPERB researchers suggest improvements to Nature Restoration Law

The SUPERB project (coordinated by EFI) aims at large scale forest restoration in Europe, combining scientific and practical knowledge to drive actionable outcomes. In our recent policy brief, some of our high-level scientists developed recommendations for changes to the proposed EU Nature Restoration law based on the concepts underpinning our approach to forest restoration. These recommendations prioritize forward-looking restoration strategies by emphasizing ecosystem self-organization and climate change adaptation rather than aiming to restore our forests to past historical states.

Read our policy brief to explore how we can help our forest in Europe to realize their full and positive potential for the future.
